The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies (ACRPS) has published the fourteenth issue of its peer reviewed, quarterly journal Tabayyun, a journal devoted to philosophy and cultural studies. This latest edition covers a diverse set of topics, ranging from contemporary Arabic novels, the presence of Al Andalus in contemporary Arab culture and epistemology.  The studies featured include: "Manifestations of the Philosophical Presence of al-Andalus in Contemporary Arab Culture" (Mohamed Mesbahi); "Leotard against Sartre" (Essaid Labib); "Deconstructing Arab Epistemological Dependency" (Mohammed AbdulRahman Hassan); "Augustine and Aquinas: Interpretation Reconciling Religion and Politics" and "The Arabic of Advertisements […] to Where?" (Mohamed Khaine).

The section from the library includes an essay from Martin Heidegger's Identity and Difference, "The Principle of Identity", translated into Arabic by Mohamed Meziane and Brahim El-Kadiri Boutchich – Lisan ad-Din ibn al-Khatib's Epistle on Politics and Authority. The Discussions and Reviews section features Wajih Kawtharani's review of Volume I of Religion and Religiosity by Azmi Bishara; Mohammed Jassim Gebara's essay "On the Question of the Arabic Language and the Ideology of Arab Unity"; Ahmed Elgarti's "The Arab Novel, Literary Criticism, and the Creative Imagination of Youmna Eid"; and finally, Khalid Aref contributes through his article "Third Space in the Novels of Waciny Laredj: Effacing the boundaries".
