The 40th edition of Tabayyun has been published by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies. This issue includes the following articles: "The Palestinian Feminist Novel Writes Back" by Hanane El Aissi; "From Narrative (Poetic) Discourse Analysis to Hypertext (Cybernetic) Analysis: Said Yaktine's Literary Criticism Project" by Said Ouabou; "The Representation of Hybrid Identity in Saud Alsanousi's Novel The Bamboo Stalk" by Mohammed Bouazza; "Critique of the Colonial Historicization of Scientific Thought in China: The Joseph Needham Paradox." by Khaled Qutb; "The Concept of Biopolitics between Michel Foucault and Giorgio Agamben" by Amer Shatara and Dua Nassar; "Ijmāʿ and its Dilemmas: Hasan Hanafi's Thought" by Abdulaziz Al-Jaber; and "Questions and Transformations from the Age of Reason to Postmodernism" by Mohammed AL-mahjari.

Anas Ibrahim provides the issue with a translation of Marcelo Svirsky's "The Production of Terra Nullius and the Palestinian-Zionist Conflict."

The issue also contains kamel Tirchi's review of A Short History of Secularism by Graeme Smith.
