Genomics from an Islamic Perspective: Difficult Questions First Comment: Ahmad al-Raysuni

Volume |Issue 27| Winter 2019 |Comments

Abstract

This comment is not intended to give jurisprudential responses or fatwas corresponding with the issues raised by Dr. Alkuraya's paper. I am not a Mufti. This is a matter for discussion and exchange of opinions, not for issuing fatwas. As such, for the moment I am only participating in thinking, explaining and discussing by casting light on certain matters of principle and of jurisprudence, from two complementary angles: a methodological principles-based approach, and an applied jurisprudential approach.
