The Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies (ACRPS) has published the thirteenth issue of its peer reviewed, quarterly journal Tabayyun, a journal devoted to philosophy and cultural studies. This edition features the following articles: "Critical Approaches To Prevailing Views on the Intellectual" (Azmi Bishara); "On Intellectuals and Transformations to Hegemony" (Bensalem Himmich), "The Intellectual and the Military Man in the Ottoman State" (Khalid Ziyadeh); "French Encyclopédists vs Arab Encyclopédists" (Frédéric Maatouk); "Is There the Need Today for the Intellectual?" (Ali al-Saleh Moula), "The Intellectual in the Arab-Islamic Context: The Question of Political Reform in Morocco at the Beginning of the 20th Century" (Abdelali Hamieddine); "Kant and Neo-Kantians" (Fouad Makhukh); "Toward and Additional Understanding of Prophetic Discourse" (Mohamed al-Kharrat). 

The journal's from the library includes "Unpacking my Library" by Walter Benjamin: A Talk about Book Collecting and translated into Arabic by Thaer Deeb. In the Discussions and Book Reviews, Abdeddayem Sallami reviews The Sacred and the Dialectic of Religious and Literary and Kamal Terchi writes on Henri Bergson's Spiritual Philosophy. Finally, the thirteenth issue of Tabayyun includes a report by Brahim El-Kadiri Boutchich on the Fourth Annual Conference on the Social Sciences and the Humanities entitled "The Role of Intellectuals in Historical Transformations", held in Marrakesh, from March 19-21, 2015.
