Book Review Archipelagos Postmodern Human Self-Bets: From Intellectual Isolation to Emancipation By Mohamed Bekkai

Volume 6|Issue 23| Winter 2018 |Book Reviews

Abstract

The author presents a new look at the debate surrounding the concept of the Other and Otherness. He addresses the associated political problems and issues of ethics and gender, and examines their methods of thought, art and writing. These are post-modernist views that revolve around the centrality of self and the myths of the ego, to achieve a kind of resistance to this monolithic culture and act as a counterpoint to this dominance and centralism.
