To coincide with the 50th anniversary of its founding and in celebration of its achievements in the field of academic research starting in 1966, the Middle East Studies Association of North America (MESA) held its 50th annual conference in Boston, MA. Around 2,500 scholars and researchers specializing in Middle East Studies in North America were in attendance.
